Home of the Future: Smart Technology

The rate at which we use technology is exponentially growing and according to GE, more than 75% of consumers expect newly built homes to include smart technology within the next five years.* Smart technology will revolutionize the way homes appliances are used, providing a whole new level of convenience.

Not only can you control appliances from any smart device through apps, you can even connect it with your Amazon Alexa to use the voice-activated command feature. GE Appliances has three different apps (Kitchen, Laundry, and Comfort) as well as partnering with four other companies including Nest to making it easier for the home owner to have more control and access with using their smart appliances.

Not a morning person and running late for work? Schedule hot water for coffee with your Keruig in your morning. Need to preheat your oven? Use voice activation with Alexa to turn it on. Worried you never turned the oven off after baking a batch of cookies? Have no fear, open up the app and you will be at ease knowing you have the capability of turning if off from your phone with the Nest app- even if you left the house. You can receive maintenance alerts about your appliances and if something goes wrong with your refrigerator or another appliance? You will receive an alert about it, making sure the issue can get taken care of as soon as possible.
