The Lake Oswego Public Library has been rated among the top 10 libraries serving similar population sizes in the United States. The top-rated Lake Oswego School District features six elementary schools, two junior high schools and two high schools with an average class ration of 23 students per instructor.

Oswego Village – anchored by Albertson’s and Ace True Value Hardware – is across from the lake and the popular Lake Theater cinemas movie theater. Lake Place shopping center – with shops such as Petco, Lake Oswego Jewelers and U.S. Bank – hugs George Rogers Park, with great riverfront access and recreational fields and play structures.
