The Home Builders Association of Portland recently awarded Renaissance Homes’ Chief Operating Officer, Tim Breedlove, with its 2011 Builder of the Year award.

Tim has found ways to help Renaissance Homes weather the recession and find new areas of success. Tim has devoted countless volunteer hours to the HBA and recently served as President.

The HBA recognized Tim’s leadership over the last several years as he helped guide the HBA through a couple of its most difficult years ever. His management perspective, advice and financial experience helped the HBA make the changes needed to operate within a significantly reduced budget and staff while still finding ways to grow services to their members.

Tim is always willing to pitch in wherever needed and helped bring together different parts of the HBA organization. He served as a panelist at builder forums, participated in Reverse Trade Shows, supported home tours and events, has vocally and visibly promoted the work of PRO and remodelers, helps lead the Production Builders Council and also served on the Foundation Board.

Tim’s perspective on key issues helped the HBA navigate challenges while finding new ways to grow and prosper. His help in sponsor relations, refinancing the HBA building, analyzing their catering operations, and building relationships with key partners has helped HBA tremendously over the last couple of years.

Tim is one of the HBA’s most respected public faces to our region’s elected leaders.  Whether in one-on-one meetings, HBA-organized forums, or having informal conversations with policy makers, Tim has a great way of conveying challenges and issues our industry faces that elected leaders respect and value. He has helped increase our influence in our region and continues to do so.

Renaissance Homes is proud of Tim’s accomplishments as he continues to lead the company and our new home industry toward a more prosperous future.

Renaissance Homes is an award winning Street of Dreams custom home builder specializing in green building for the Portland market.
