The National Association of REALTORS, (NAR) recently released their annual 2013 Home Features Survey. The survey asked 2,000 home buyers their preferences on 33 home features. What feature did home shoppers report they most desire in a home?
Central air conditioning was overwhelmingly the top home feature desired by home shoppers. A home that is cable/satellite TV-ready/Internet was also ranked highly.
The NAR survey revealed the following interior design features that buyers ranked as “very important” in their home search:
1. Walk-in closet in the master bedroom. Don’t you crave storage? Tiny closets are frustrating. 
2. Ensuite master bath. A private master suite is a wonderful space to unwind after the day.
3. New kitchen appliances. Treat yourself to the latest kitchen technology in cooking, washing dishes and ease of use!
4. Eat-in kitchen area. Informal spaces are where you spend the most of your time.
5. Hardwood floors. Easy clean, beautiful and come in so many colors, finishes and textures.
6. Granite countertops. Gorgeous but durable, they make a kitchen fabulous - and easy clean up! Available in so many colors and styles to express your personality!
7. Kitchen island. Make it easy for yourself to cook, spread out your ingredients and store it all away below.
