Color trend | Emerald green
Emerald green is Pantone’s top color for 2013; and Renaissance Homes is on trend. EmeraldPantone, known for its Color Matching System which standardizes colors used in the fashion, home and beauty industries, allows different manufacturers in differenInternet example 2 (Pantone chosen color)t locations to ensure colors match without direct contact with one another. The company chooses its “Color of the Year” based on how the color is already being used and predicting its continued popularity.  Emerald green was spotted for 2013 fashion lines from Michael Kors, Nanette Lepore, Vivienne Tam and with eyeshadow and nailpolish selections at Sephora, among other retailers. And at Renaissance Homes, the healing color can be found through materials such as tile, paint and granite, among others — which our homebuyers get to choose from when making interior selections for their new custom home. Renaissance Designer Sandie Hume said “the color is natural and complements products in neutral tones — adding a little spice.” Pair it with black, brown, tan or blue for a refreshing, energizing look. It adds a pop of sophisticated color in any room. Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, said that “symbolically, emerald brings a sense of clarity, renewal and rejuvenation, which is so important in today’s complex world.” photo 5But Renaissance has been “seeing green” environmentally long before the recent color announcement.
